We're moving away from Substack to stay independent and to ensure we can reach you regardless!
CEORetort.com
Hi all!
I appreciate you subscribing to the CEO Retort (CEOR) newsletter on Substack and joining our community. It really means a lot!
However, if you're following me on LinkedIn, you may have seen my posts about the pushback I've been receiving for speaking out against my AI/tech sector.
Here is the most recent post about someone reporting me to LinkedIn for calling out Elon Musk's Grok spreading horrible deefakes of Taylor Swift:

Thankfully, since I know a few senior members of LinkedIn's editorial team and am also part of their journalist program, they are familiar enough with my work to know that I do not spread misinformation. Otherwise, my account would probably have been suspended unjustifiably.
Moving to our private infrastructure with Kit:
Hence, the investment from our paying members played a significant role in helping us explore alternative approaches to ensure minimal dependency on big tech platforms, including Substack.
As of September 2, 2025, all of our newsletters are sent via Kit – An independent platform, built by an independent (VC-free) company.
CEOR is about building an ecosystem of such companies, unlike Substack, which recently accepted a massive investment from the likes of a16z, which is a problem for Substack's future, in my view.
We have been moving everything internally to ceoretort.com to ensure that I can stay in touch with you, regardless, and you have full access to all of our content. So, you may have experienced disruptions during this transition. But everything should be back on track now. I appreciate your patience.
